About this Event
You do not need a finished manuscript or years of writing experience to spend an afternoon making something on the page.
Paper & Ember: Creative Writing Workshop & Indie Book Social is a beginner-friendly gathering for readers, emerging writers, and storytellers who want a welcoming space to write, experiment, and meet other people interested in books and storytelling.
The afternoon combines three parts:

Work through short prompts designed to help you explore character, place, memory, voice, and scene.
You may keep everything you write private.
Sharing is always optional.
Indie Reading & Discovery Table
Browse a curated display of independent books, poetry, zines, and literary publications selected for discussion and discovery.
Only titles and materials that the organizer is authorized to display should be included.
No book voucher, gift book, merchandise bundle, or guaranteed purchase benefit is included with admission.
Writer Conversation & Story Sharing
Discuss creative process, developing a writing habit, editing early drafts, and finding inspiration.
Participants who wish to may read a short excerpt of their own work.
No participant is required to perform, publish, or submit their writing.
