Join us Saturday, November 14, for our next Gather Swap Repeat community event at Rosewood Provisions. It’s time to go through those cupboards, find the canned goods you bought for a recipe you never made, and pass along shelf-stable food that someone else can use. This is about more than cleaning out a pantry. It’s about looking out for each other, especially as we head into the holidays.
The need is real right here in our community. According to Feeding America West Michigan’s 2026 Map the Meal Gap findings, 14.8% of people in its 40-county service area across West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula experience food insecurity. That’s roughly 1 in 7 people, including 18% of children. Food insecurity can affect working families, seniors, and neighbors who never expected to need a little help themselves. https://www.feedwm.org/2026/07/28/map-the-meal-gap-study-documents-persistently-high-demand-for-charitable-food-assistance-locally-and-nationally/
Here’s how it works:
🥫 Bring new, unopened canned goods and boxed or packaged shelf-stable foods you’d like to share.
🧹 Clean out and reorganize your pantry while making room for what you actually use.
❤️ All donated food will be available FREE to neighbors who need a little extra help putting food on the table. No purchase necessary, and no judgment. Everyone deserves to eat, and everyone deserves to feel supported.
Gather what you can. Share what you can. Take what you need.
Let’s make sure a few more neighbors have something in the cupboard and a little less to worry about this holiday season. ❤️
