October Program: Starbucks Workers United
For our October program, we’re pleased to welcome a representative from Starbucks Workers United to speak with members about the union’s broader organizing campaign, the effort to organize the recently unionized Starbucks location in Amarillo, and the experiences of workers involved in the campaign.
Our speaker will either be a local Starbucks worker involved in the organizing effort or a Starbucks Workers United staff representative. We’ll share additional speaker details once they are finalized.
A brief Q&A will follow the presentation.
We’ll begin promptly at 7:00 PM with Panhandle Democrats business, followed by our monthly program.
Everyone is welcome to arrive early for social time beginning at 6:30 PM. Feel free to bring a light snack, drink, or refreshment to share.
Whether you’re a longtime member or simply interested in learning more about Panhandle Democrats, our monthly meetings are an opportunity to meet others, hear about current projects and upcoming events, and stay connected with what’s happening across the organization.
Open to the public.
