Details:
Dialogue can do more than bridge differences, it can build the trust, understanding, and the solidarity needed to create meaningful change.
Join us for a panel discussion about the role of dialogue in strengthening communities, shaping public policy, and becoming an established institutional practice. We’ll explore how dialogue can serve as a starting point for building unexpected partnerships, bringing community perspectives into decision-making, and shaping change across sectors.
From grassroots initiatives to institutional and public policy change, the panelists will share their knowledge and experience about how dialogue can help them inform policy and explore what it takes to embed dialogue into institutional processes and decision-making structures. They will also reflect on dialogue's role in building shared understanding, solidarity, trust and collaboration with the goal of bridging intersectoral divides and responding to the evolving needs of their communities.
This event is a catalyst for exploring how dialogue can become an ongoing institutional practice that ensures diverse community voices are meaningfully included in creating and implementing policies that respond to their needs.
What to expect:
1. Better understanding of what is dialogue and the PLEDJ Solidarity Dialogues
2. Hearing from panelists about their work and community involvement
3. Food and refreshments
4. Networking opportunities
We look forward to you joining us !
