WHY IT MATTERS
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a serious, progressive, muscle-wasting disease that mostly affects boys. Muscles steadily break down, and over time the heart and breathing muscles are severely impacted. About 15,000 people in the US and 300,000 people worldwide live with DMD, and by age 12 many boys with DMD rely on a wheelchair.
Every pancake powers Duchenne muscular dystrophy research. A cure can't wait.
