Join us for a painting workshop with Saloni Sharma! Spend some time getting creative and enjoy an afternoon of painting and artistic exploration.
Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).
The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 - $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
Saloni is an Interior Designer and Visual Artist from India and is passionate about experimenting with diverse mediums and techniques. Since moving to Calgary in 2017, she has actively engaged in community activities. During the pandemic, Saloni dedicated time to her artwork and began sharing her skills online with immigrant women's groups, fostering connection, skill-building, and healing through weekly art sessions. She has also conducted numerous in-person workshops for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, inspiring them to incorporate art into their lives.

Alcove Centre for the Arts (alcoveartscentre.ca) is a charity based in Calgary, AB which aims to make art more accessible and promote a vibrant local arts industry. We curate and cultivate community art spaces for Calgarians to engage in art and creativity while building a platform for emerging local artists. Alcove Centre for the Arts has two locations: Alcove Core and Alcove Beltline.
Alcove Core (244 7 Ave SW) is a Recreational Art Space open to the public providing free art supplies and instruments to stimulate creativity. The space also acts as a gathering place for workshops, community events, and social meetups. Come visit and get creative!
Alcove Beltline (1040 8 St SW) is a multi-use, flexible venue that is available to book for private or public events. If you are looking for an affordable space that has equipment rentals available, in a central location, for 75-100 people at a time, then this space may be a great fit for you!
