Discover the foundations of oil painting in this supportive 4-week series, designed for beginners and for anyone looking for deeper instruction and experimentation. Each Tuesday evening in November, we'll travel through the American West and paint a different iconic landscape, exploring new lighting, textures, and colors each week.
Through step-by-step demos, you'll learn essential landscape painting techniques including color mixing, layering, perspective, and style. Follow along with instructor Morgan Jones to complete a guided painting, or bring your own related image and apply the techniques with individual guidance.

Nov 3: Monument Valley
Nov 10: Rocky Mountains
Nov 17: Big Sur
Nov 24: Saguaro National Park
All classes run 6:30-9pm. All supplies are included for use in class, and no prior experience is necessary. BYOB welcome!
Location: Trade Oak Cliff, inside Tyler Station in Dallas. Enter 4 doors down from Oak Cliff Brewery.
Recommended for ages 14 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket. We'll go over oil painting safety in class.
Your painting will still be wet when you leave, so prepare a space in your car to lay it flat, or bring a brown paper grocery bag to carry it home.
No refunds or reschedules due to the one-time nature of each class. If you can't make it, you're welcome to gift your ticket to a friend. Just email [email protected] with the new student's info. You'll receive a reminder email the day before class.
