Paint It Forward: Mark Nelson & His Triton College Students
A semester of creativity comes to the gallery! Join us at Aponte Art Gallery for Paint It Forward, an exhibition featuring Mark Nelson and his Triton College students, with work created during their semester of study.
Featuring primarily oil paintings, the exhibition offers an opportunity to discover individual artistic voices and celebrate the experimentation, practice, and dedication that go into developing a painting.
Artist and educator Mark Nelson began his artistic studies in Panama before continuing his education in Chicago, earning a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA from the University of Illinois Chicago. His practice spans painting, sculpture, and public installations, with a longstanding connection to Chicago’s Pilsen arts community.
Aponte Art Gallery is proud to sponsor the exhibition space, giving these students an opportunity to share their work with the community.
Bring a friend, explore the paintings, and help us celebrate the artists behind them!
