Paint & Sip Night at the Kate is back for the holidays! Participants will get to enjoy a view of our theater from the stage as a local professional artist leads you in creating two beautiful watercolor holiday-themed cards. Participate in one of Katharine Hepburn's favorite hobbies and spend a fun evening out with friends new and old, all while supporting our Museum. Materials included in the price of admission. 5:30 - Doors open; grab a drink from the bar and stroll through the museum before making your way up to the theater.
6:30 - Painting begins in the theater! Local artist and teacher Susan Hourihan will take over and lead everyone through the painting process.
8:30 - Head home with your beautiful new works of art!
About the Artist
Susan Hourihan has been an art teacher for 22 years, and artist her whole life. She has taught at Westbrook High School for the past 10 years. She is versed in many art media, with a focus on photography, landscape painting in both acrylic and watercolor paints. She has taught therapeutic art methods preK-12, as well as weekend classes for adults. Most recently, she has held soapstone rock carving classes at the Marlborough Arts Center and private watercolor retreats at various local beach locations.
Susan is a mother to two high school children and two happy Basset Hounds.
