Paint, Pivo and Czech Creativity Return November 20Following the success of the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center’s first Paint & Pivo event in August, the Center is excited to welcome guests back for another evening of art, culture and fellowship.
The next Paint & Pivo will be held Friday, November 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Hanslik Hall at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center.
Led by local La Grange artist Bonnie Karstedt, participants will create an original painting inspired by authentic Czech art and design. Bonnie will guide painters through the project step by step, making the evening enjoyable for both beginners and experienced artists. No previous painting experience is necessary.
Paint & Pivo is part of the Center’s growing arts and cultural education programming. The event provides a welcoming, hands-on way for participants to learn about Czech artistic traditions while creating something meaningful of their own.
An Evening of Art, Culture and Fellowship
Art supplies will be provided, allowing participants to relax, be creative and enjoy an evening with friends. Pivo and vino will also be available for attendees.
The Center’s first Paint & Pivo was held in August and received an enthusiastic response from the community. Art supplies for that event were generously donated by Rural Arts of Texas, helping the Center introduce a new cultural art program to the public. TCHCC looks forward to continuing and expanding that partnership through future arts programming.
Paint & Pivo is about more than completing a painting. It brings people together to explore Czech heritage, enjoy the creative process and make new memories in a relaxed and friendly setting.
Artwork created during the November event will also be displayed during the Center’s Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 5, allowing visitors to enjoy the participants’ Czech-inspired creations as part of the holiday celebration and local art display.
Bring a friend, enjoy a glass of pivo or vino, and spend the evening discovering your creative side while celebrating Czech culture.
