About this Event
The event will be held at Tea By The Lock, where those who come to the workshop will be welcome to buy refreshements at the lovely plant-based tearoom.
I will provide some examples of my designs as inspiration, and give a demonstration, and then you will be free to have a go yourself. I will bring examples of my own designs, give a demonstration and explain some tips for painting them - so don't worry if you haven't painted before, and I will be on hand to help.
There will be a selection of art materials to share and try, including paint, as well as paper and brushes and salt. If you wanted to bring your own sketchbook, cards or paper to work on, or if you have favourite brushes you wish to use, you'd be welcome to do so.
You may prefer to keep your artwork as a painting in itself, or it can be easily used to create your own greetings card to gift to someone special, making your card into a present in itself.
If you are worried about getting messy (some of the pens are permanent), you may wish to bring an apron and gloves, and it is worth remembering your glasses if you wear them.
Tea By The Lock is a wonderful venue, and the location itself offers a relaxed atmosphere, is dog-friendly, and is close to both a bus stop and the lock carpark. It is past the caravan park, down the track through the gate, and to the right, by the Lock.
If I have to cancel the event for any reason, you will be offered a full refund.
