Meet Cute Club and Start 1 Spark are teaming up for something a little different.
On October 20, we're gathering Richmond singles for a volunteer night at Capital Ale House Innsbrook — packing Fuel for Fun snack kits for middle school student-athletes in our community. Start 1 Spark's Fuel for Fun program provides nutritious snacks to student-athletes on game days at five local middle schools, where roughly 60% of students qualify for free or reduced meals.
Here's what we'll be doing: each kit gets a fruit cup, a protein snack and chips — and a handwritten note of encouragement from you. Because the food fuels the body, and the message fuels the spirit.
It's a chance to do something genuinely good, meet people who care about the same things you do, and discover that shared purpose is actually a pretty excellent icebreaker. No awkward standing around. No forced conversation.
