Steampot Social
Founded and operated by a Charleston native, Steampot Social was built around one simple idea: bringing the authentic Lowcountry gathering experience to visitors and locals alike.
To us, it's about more than great food. It's the laid-back tradition of gathering around a table with family and friends, sharing stories over steaming pots of fresh local seafood, and enjoying a meal that’s personal.
Charleston is known for incredible restaurants and outstanding hospitality, and there are plenty of great places to eat. But some experiences just aren't meant to happen inside a public dining room. The best Lowcountry boils and oysters are cooked fresh on-site, served straight from the pot, and shared together outdoors. That's the experience we set out to create.
We bring everything needed to transform your vacation rental, backyard, or private event into an authentic Lowcountry gathering. No crowded restaurants, no reservations or parking spots to chase, no cleanup afterward. Just fresh seafood, great company, and a meal prepared right in front of your guests.
Looking to make the evening even more memorable? We can help customize your event with menu substitutions, local favorites, and optional enhancements such as patio furniture, lighting, and live music.
Whether you're celebrating with family, hosting friends, or simply looking for a true taste of the Lowcountry, we're here to make it effortless and unforgettable. Because the best meals aren’t just served-they’re shared.
