About this Event
OVER / AT presents a double bill with performances by Noah Scott and RÓ at Stereo. Winter is long, so join us for music underground in Glasgow's beloved Stereo Bar.
This evening will showcase works by two musicians with trad and folk backgrounds who have developed these sounds into something completely their own. Noah Scott's recent works incorporate jazz and improvisational piano while drawing on the stories and traditions of the past, both collective and his own. Meanwhile, RÓ draws on their poetical roots to write lyrical protest music. Both musicians are artists to watch.
Us folk at OVER / AT CIC chose this concert because of the ways Noah Scott and RÓ push the boundaries of folk music while honoring the source material; and how the space underground at Stereo will pick up on the intense musicianship of these artists.
We are so excited to invite you for our first concert of the year.
Tickets are £10, or get in contact with us for PWYC.
Noah Scott
Noah Scott is a traditional musician and composer who has recently graduated from the Traditional Music Degree at the RCS. Noah got into traditional music through playing in sessions on the Isle of Skye. He was a finalist in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of The Year 2025 Competition. He moved from France to Glasgow at age 15 to pursue his aspirations as a Scottish traditional musician. Noah studied at the National Centre for Excellence in Traditional Music in Plockton and the Junior Conservatoire. In 2022, he was commissioned to write a piece for the National Youth Pipe Band which was performed at Piping Live and at the Usher Hall. RÓ
RÓ (they/them) is a young multidisciplinary artist from Inverness. As a singer-songwriter, RÓ showcases their intricate guitar finger-picking and evocative lyrics to create profound works that explore themes such as identity, childhood memories, nature, and justice. They are currently the Scottish Young Gaelic Makar and often incorporate their poetry into their music, blending trad aspects with contemporary indie-folk.
Their latest single, 'Eat the Fly', (September 2025) exposes the fine balance in nature and in life, using profound imagery to express how interconnected the natural world is with everything around us.
