Après avoir transformé La Filature, ses abords et sa vitrine en jardin d’abondance, NOUS / OTRXS de Martín Rodríguez gagne l’intérieur. Le projet y poursuit sa croissance jusqu’à la récolte, avant de prendre à son tour le chemin de l’Abitibi. La circulation de NOUS / OTRXS s’inscrit dans terres en mouvement, une initiative portée par AXENÉO7 et L’Écart, en collaboration avec plusieurs organismes locaux, et soutenue par le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.

L’exposition Les enfants des bois de Dominic Lafontaine conclut une Autorésidence. À partir de documents textuels issus d’archives coloniales de l’Abitibi, du Témiscamingue, de l’Outaouais et de l’Ontario frontalier, l’artiste reprend, déplace et détourne le langage employé pour nommer et définir les réalités autochtones.

Inspirée par la cosmogonie Mexicaine, l’artiste Aymara Alvarado Sanchez performera une musique electro cosmogónica dans laquelle elle invoquera les êtres des étoiles Mayas. Composée avec des instruments préhispaniques et des instruments électroniques, la performance explorera un tissage entre la musique ancienne et la musique électro expérimentale.

After transforming La Filature, its surroundings, and its front window into a garden of abundance, Martín Rodríguez’s NOUS / OTRXS moves indoors. There, the project continues to grow until harvest, before making its own way to Abitibi. The circulation of NOUS / OTRXS is part of moving earth, a touring initiative led by AXENÉO7 and L’Écart in collaboration with several local organizations, with support from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.

Dominic Lafontaine’s exhibition Les enfants des bois concludes an Autorésidence. Drawing on texts from colonial archives in Abitibi, Témiscamingue, the Outaouais, and neighbouring parts of Ontario, the artist reclaims, shifts, and subverts the language used to name and define Indigenous realities.

Inspired by Mexican cosmogony, artist Aymara Alvarado Sanchez will perform ‘cosmogónica’ electronic music in which she will invoke the Mayan star beings. Composed using pre-Hispanic and electronic instruments, the performance will explore the interweaving of ancient music and experimental electronic music.
