About this Event
Networking can be a bit awkward.
Standing around in a room. Name badges. Small talk. Trying to work out when you're supposed to tell someone what you do.
So we're doing something simpler.
We're going for a walk.
The Sheffield Walk Club is a relaxed netwalking event for founders, freelancers, business owners, creatives, independents and anyone else who'd like to meet more people in and around Sheffield.
There are no presentations, no forced introductions and no expectation that you turn up with a sales pitch.
Just a group of people walking, chatting and seeing who they get along with.
Come on your own or bring someone with you. Talk about work, ideas, things you're building, problems you're trying to solve, or absolutely nothing business-related at all.
How it works
We'll meet at Endcliffe Park Cafe, head down to Forge Dam Cafe for a drink / cake.
The pace will be conversational rather than competitive, so you definitely don't need to be a serious walker.
This will be a monthly walk on the last Thursday of every month, so if you miss this one there is always next month!
Who it's for
Founders, freelancers, creatives, business owners, people starting something, people thinking about starting something, and generally anyone who wants to meet more interesting people locally.
No hard selling.
No awkward networking exercises.
Just a walk and some good company.
Refreshments
Depending on numbers we usually pop into a local coffee shop or grab a takeaway – everyone buys their own
