About this Event
In recognition of Transgender Awareness Week, this November 18 fireside chat will bring together leaders from healthcare and technology to discuss the evolving landscape for LGBTQ+ communities. The conversation will focus in particular on the challenges facing transgender individuals and the role organizations and individuals can play in fostering inclusion and support.

We’ll explore the intersection of healthcare access and workplace inclusion, including the evolving environment surrounding gender-affirming care, gaps in health coverage and access, and some of the barriers LGBTQ+ individuals may experience when navigating the healthcare system. We’ll also discuss the role that employers, healthcare organizations, and the biotech and pharmaceutical industry can play in helping address these challenges.
The conversation will also look at how Moderna is approaching LGBTQ+ inclusion and employee support—what we’ve learned, actions we’re taking, and opportunities to continue evolving.
This discussion is for anyone interested in better understanding the experiences of LGBTQ+ colleagues and communities, learning more about the challenges facing transgender individuals today, and exploring how each of us can contribute to a more inclusive and supportive workplace.
