OurBike Cargo Bike Training with Brighton Bike Hub

Try an electric cargo bike, build your confidence and discover a new way to get around Brighton & Hove.

Join the Brighton Bike Hub team for a friendly, practical 90-minute session on an OurBike three-wheeled electric cargo bike. Whether you're thinking about school runs, shopping trips, or everyday errands, you'll have time to get familiar with the bike and practise with instructor support.

Book for £5 and receive £40 of OurBike ride credit, equivalent to eight hours of riding, after you attend!

• Morning: 11 am–12.30 pm
• Afternoon: 1 pm–2.30 pm

Both sessions cover the same content, so please book one.

What You'll Learn

• Getting familiar with the cargo bike and its electric assist.
• Starting, stopping, steering and cornering.
• Handling a three-wheeled bike and allowing for its size.
• Safe loading and considerations when carrying children or shopping.
• Choosing suitable routes for everyday journeys.
• Using the OurBike app to book a bike and redeem ride credit.

You'll begin with practical exercises in a controlled space. The session may include a short supported ride, depending on the group's confidence and the instructors' assessment.

Who Can Join?

These sessions are for adults who can already ride a standard bicycle independently. No previous cargo bike experience is needed.

This is cargo bike familiarisation, not a Learn to Ride course. Although we'll discuss using cargo bikes for family journeys, the training is for adult riders.

Your £5 Ticket Includes

Use of an OurBike cargo bike during the session, support from the Brighton Bike Hub instructors, and £40 ride credit for future OurBike journeys after you attend.

What To Bring

Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes, and bring water and a waterproof layer if needed. Bring a cycle helmet if you usually wear one, plus your phone for the app demonstration.

We provide cargo bikes, so you don't need to bring your own.
