Double Bill:
An intimate, award-winning short dance film follows climate refugees forging a tight-knit family within an abandoned house, shielded from a hostile climate.
Our Circle in the Storm is an nine-minute dance film by Arty Party, featuring a cast of dancers with and without disabilities. It explores what it means to be together while the world changes all around us.
The work reflects on the importance of togetherness and connection in a time of climate change, and the thin veil between our comfort inside and the changing world beyond. It draws attention to the vulnerability of people with disabilities during a climate crisis.
This is paired with an exciting live dance theatre performance piece, focusing on popular UK birds on the endangered species 'red list'.
Take a journey with the birdwatcher as they embody four different birds; Lark, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Swift and Nightingale.
A fascinating exploration through dance, music, sound and spoken word. Performed and created by Marie-Louise Flexen with a sound track by Steven Skinley.
The performances conclude with a short Q&A session around these powerful themes.
