About this Event
Our Bodies, Our Stories: A Community Health Gathering for BIPOC Women
Our bodies carry our histories, our resilience, and our power. Our Bodies, Our Stories is a community health gathering created to centre the health and wellbeing of Black, Indigenous, and women of colour through movement, education, and meaningful conversations about our bodies and our experiences navigating healthcare.
Join us for an afternoon of community care, shared knowledge, and critical conversations designed to help us better understand our health, ask questions, and advocate for ourselves.
This year, we will explore three important areas of women’s health through sessions led by health professionals and community experts:
Cardiovascular Health
Learn about heart health, cardiovascular risk factors, prevention, and warning signs. Explore women’s cardiovascular health and gain practical knowledge to support your wellbeing and advocate for yourself when navigating healthcare.
Fertility & Reproductive Health
Explore fertility, reproductive health, and family planning through an informative conversation that creates space for questions, shared experiences, and greater understanding of our reproductive wellbeing.
Women’s Health & Wellbeing
Engage in a conversation about another important aspect of women’s health, with a focus on increasing awareness, sharing practical knowledge, and addressing questions that are often overlooked in healthcare. More details about this session will be announced soon.
This gathering is about more than health information. It is about making space for our questions, honouring our experiences, and ensuring our wellbeing is part of the conversation.
Our Bodies, Our Stories is an opportunity to learn from health professionals, engage in meaningful conversations, and be part of a community where our health matters and our stories deserve to be heard.
This event is exclusively for Black, Indigenous, and women of colour.
