Kesä Oulu2026 Mallastagella oli täynnä kohtaamisia, elämyksiä ja yhteistä tekemisen iloa, ja on hienoa, että yhteistyömme jatkuu vielä syksyllä kansainvälisen vierailun merkeissä!Tiistaina 27.10. klo 20 lauteille nousee nuorta ruotsalaista voimaa - Nektar! Kyseessä on bändin ensimmäinen keikka Suomessa!
Albumien Magnolia ja Om du behöver mig myötä Nektar on lyhyessä ajassa vakiinnuttanut asemansa yhtenä Ruotsin puhutuimmista uusista indie rock -yhtyeistä. Vuoden 2024 alussa perustettu göteborgilaisyhtye on rakentanut ympärilleen omistautuneen yleisön, myynyt keikkoja loppuun
ympäri maata, voittanut useita palkintoja ja saanut laajasti kiitosta ruotsalaisessa musiikkimediassa.
Vuonna 2025 yhtye otti jälleen uusia askelia eteenpäin. Päätettyään Stay Out West -festivaalin Pustervikissa esiintymällä pääesiintyjänä Nektar
jatkoi loppuunmyydylle Om du behöver mig -albumin syyskiertueelle. Grammis 2026 -gaalassa Nektar ja albumi olivat ehdolla kolmessa kategoriassa – vuoden rock-albumi, vuoden tulokas ja vuoden musiikkivideo – ja yhtye voitti Vuoden musiikkivideo -palkinnon.
Kesän aikana Nektar on kiertänyt laajasti festivaaleilla ja esiintynyt huomion herättäneesti muun muassa Tukholman kulttuurifestivaalin Skeppsbron-lavalla sekä Way Out Westin Linnéscenen-lavalla. Syksyllä
yhtye ottaa seuraavan askeleen suuntaamalla ensimmäiselle Pohjoismaiden-kiertueelleen.

ENGLISH
Summer 2026 in Oulu at Mallastage was full of encounters, experiences and the joy of creating something together — and it’s great that our collaboration continues into the autumn with an international guest!
On Tuesday, October 27 at 8 PM, we’ll welcome some fresh young Swedish talent to the stage — Nektar. This is their first gig in Finland!
With their albums Magnolia and Om du behöver mig, Nektar have quickly established themselves as one of Sweden’s most talked-about new indie rock bands. Formed in Gothenburg at the beginning of 2024, the band has built a dedicated following, sold out shows across the country, won several awards and received widespread praise from the Swedish music media.
In 2025, the band continued to take major steps forward. After closing Stay Out West Festival at Pustervik as the headlining act, Nektar embarked on a sold-out autumn tour in support of Om du behöver mig. At the Grammis 2026 awards, Nektar and the album were nominated in three categories — Rock Album of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Music Video of the Year — and the band took home the award for Music Video of the Year.
Over the summer, Nektar have toured extensively at festivals, making a strong impression at events including the Stockholm Culture Festival’s Skeppsbron stage and Way Out West’s Linnéscenen. This autumn, the band will take the next step by heading out on their first Nordic tour.
