OSCAR’S HOLLOW — STRANGE LIGHT ALBUM RELEASE SHOWAfter years in the making, Oscar’s Hollow are finally releasing their debut album, Strange Light.
These songs have been developing since 2020, with some going back even further. After a founding member left the band, Oscar’s Hollow turned their focus toward a new collection of songs and began the long process of bringing them to life.
Years of honing their live show, along with plenty of starts and stops in the recording process, have given these songs plenty of time to evolve. Now they’re ready to share Strange Light with you.
Joining them for the evening is Saskatoon songwriter Luke Ryalls, best known as the leader of The Fjords. Luke’s music blends strong melodies, vulnerable lyrics and a distinctive voice, drawing inspiration from place, memory and raw emotion.
Oscar’s Hollow will also be joined by Malcolm Whyte on bass, giving Byron Shaw the chance to move to guitar and bring the additional parts from the album into the live show.
Bloom is excited to be working with Oscar’s Hollow again and to help bring this special night to the Art Bar.
