We're delighted to present this exploration of ancestors’ stories - personal family history, ethnicity, country or way of life. The most ordinary of lives have songs and tunes and poems about them - an old lullaby, a song sung while working, a tune their people danced to, a lament, a ballad. Or, possibly they experienced a major event; a disaster, an achievement or some momentous occasion.Performers were asked to delve into the past for an evening of songs, poems or tunes. Other than that, there were no rules and we have no idea what people will come up with.
