Experience the brilliance of opera favourites, paired with the immortal words of William Shakespeare, performed by extraordinary artists
An evening of music and theatre that brings together the passion of opera and Shakespeare. Soprano Melanie Krueger demonstrates her soaring range in selections from Rusalka, Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story. Tenor Martin Renner Wallace performs opera favourites such as Le Donne Mobile and Nessun Dorma in the style of Pavarotti, and actor Ellie King brings alive the famous words of William Shakespeare from his sonnets and plays. The Surrey City Orchestra is pleased to feature pianist Richard Epp who has accompanied opera greats, and musicians of the orchestra will perform the famous overture from Barber of Seville!
