About this Event
open•mic does what it says on the tin.
It's a free open mic social at The Greenhouse, Brighton.
For anyone who wants to listen, speak, play, or connect with good people.
Read poetry. Try an opinion piece. A TedX test. Bring a song or 3.
Share someone else's words, if you'd rather not share your own.
You can even nominate someone to read yours.
It's also for anyone who doesn't love networking.
But loves people.
No judgement. No competition.
Just a supportive room and a mic.
And for those wanting a video record of your slot, the Swhype cameras will be on hand.
Alternatively... you don't have to perform, just come and listen.
It's hosted by me, Andy Greenhouse, a creative director and self-confessed 'glossophobe' (fear of public speaking}... so if you're nervous, you're in good company.
Everyone is a speaker inside.
open•mic is there if you need help coaxing it out.
Bring friends... or come alone.
Either way, you'll be welcomed with open•arms.
If you'd like to speak / perform:
Book a 'Open Mic Speaker' or 'Musician' ticket.
Timings are pretty open until we know who's speaking – and there's no limit to style or genre.
