About this Event
Join us at the Centre for Innovation and Future Skills (CIFS) on NMITE’s Blackfriars Campus in Hereford. You’ll hear about NMITE’s past, present and future, and about how the centre is growing into a bridge between businesses and academia. CIFS is there to help local businesses and individuals prepare for the future of work, through upskilling, reskilling and developing entrepreneurial and innovative skills.
You’ll also get the story of the building itself. It features a hybrid glulam beam made from UK-grown timber, part of the Building from England’s Woodland project led by NMITE’s Centre for Advanced Timber Technology with Edinburgh Napier University, which aims to show that English-grown timber works in modern construction.
Then it’s over to the conversation: future skills, innovation and the technologies shaping the way we work.
