Overview
Bring the project you’ve been meaning to work on and spend the evening creating alongside others at theARTBOX.
Open Studio Nights is a free monthly creative co-working night for artists, makers, writers, and anyone who wants dedicated time and space to create.
No class. No facilitator. No assigned project.
Just bring your own work, your own supplies, and settle in for a couple of hours of creative time at the gallery.
Working on a painting? Bring it. Crocheting something? Bring it. Writing, drawing, designing, scrapbooking, journaling, editing photos, or finally finishing that project sitting on your desk? This is your time to work on it.
You can work quietly on your own, sit with friends, or connect with other creatives in the room. How social you want to be is completely up to you.
Sometimes we just need to get out of the house, put our phones down, and be around other people who are making things too.
What to Bring
Bring your own project and the supplies you need to work on it.
Projects might include:
- Drawing, illustration, or painting
- Crochet, knitting, or fiber arts
- Collage or scrapbooking
- Journaling or creative writing
- Digital illustration or design
- Photography or photo editing
- Hand lettering or card making
- Planning your next creative project
- That unfinished project you keep meaning to get back to!
Please keep projects portable and appropriate for a shared gallery space.
What You'll Experience
Open Studio Night is intentionally unstructured.
There are no prompts, lessons, demonstrations, or a facilitator. This is simply dedicated time to work on something you care about in a creative community setting.
Come to:
- Make progress on your own project
- Get out of the house and create somewhere different
- Meet other artists and creative people
- Find inspiration from working around others
- Share ideas or conversation if you'd like
- Enjoy some quiet creative accountability
Want to put your headphones on and work independently? Perfect.
Want to chat with the person next to you about what they're making? Also perfect.

Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Cost: FREE
Ages: All ages welcome
Drop in anytime during the evening or stay for the full two hours.
Please note: Open Studio Nights are BYO project and supplies. Unlike our facilitated workshops and Art Prompt Nights, art supplies and instruction are not included.
