About this Event
Every other Sunday, Out the Box (@outtheboxshowcase) takes over the stage at Karma Kava for Fort Lauderdale's most welcoming open mic. Singers, songwriters, poets, comedians, rappers, and anyone with five minutes and something to say. First timers get the same love as the regulars.
How it works: doors and sign-ups open at 7:30 PM at the bar. Spots are first come, first served, so get here early if you want to perform. Each act gets a short set. Bring your own instrument if you play one; we have a mic, PA, and a stage with proper lighting.
Not performing? Grab a kava or kratom drink, settle in, and support the people brave enough to get up there. No alcohol, no cover, no pressure.
Karma Kava is Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Village kava bar at 900 N Flagler Dr, minutes from Las Olas. Street parking and a paid lot next door. 21+ with valid ID.
Free RSVP. Walk-ins welcome.
