🎤 Open Mic Night at WORK HQGot something you want to share?
Bring it to the mic.
Join us at WORK HQ in downtown Grand Rapids for an open mic night featuring local musicians, comedians, poets, storytellers, spoken-word artists, and anyone else ready to step up and give the room something to listen to.
You do not need to be a professional performer, and you definitely don’t need years of experience. First-timers are absolutely welcome.
This is meant to be a relaxed, supportive night where people can try something new, test out material, share something they’ve been working on, or simply come hang out and discover some talented people from around Grand Rapids.
🎤 Want to perform?
Performers reserve specific 15-minute time slots between 7:00–9:00 PM.
You may reserve up to two time slots per Open Mic Night, for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Reserve your performance time here:
https://work.theurbanelementgr.com/open-mic-signup
Slots are first come, first served, and once a time is reserved, it will no longer be available to other performers.
Music, comedy, poetry, storytelling, spoken word, acoustic performances, and other appropriate creative acts are welcome.
👀 Just want to watch?
Absolutely.
You do not have to take the mic to be part of the night. Come grab a seat, meet some people, support local performers, and see who shows up.
🎟️ Tickets
Admission is $10 per person. WORK HQ Members attend for free!

👧 Bringing the kiddos?
Families are welcome. Storybook Lane, our parent-present children’s space, will be available during the event.
Whether you’ve been performing for years or have something sitting in your Notes app that you’ve never shared with another human...
The mic is open. 🎤🧡
