Open Marley: In the Studio is back for its second installment!
Join us for another intimate evening celebrating Baltimore’s dancers, choreographers, creative voices, and the process behind the movement.
This quarter, we explore EVOLVE: The Evolution of Dance in Baltimore.
How does movement change from one generation to the next? How do our histories, communities, experiences, and artistic influences shape what we create today? And where is Baltimore dance headed next?
Through original choreography, works-in-progress, completed works, and artist conversations, EVOLVE invites us to experience where Baltimore dance has been, where it is now, and where our artists are taking it.
Open Marley isn’t a traditional dance concert. The studio becomes a space for performance, experimentation, conversation, and connection. After sharing their work, featured choreographers will engage in facilitated talkbacks, giving audiences a glimpse into the ideas, choices, challenges, and inspiration behind what they’ve just witnessed.

Open Marley is also a quarterly fundraiser benefiting Dance Happens Inc.
Every ticket helps support the continued work of Dance Happens Inc. and its commitment to providing Baltimore youth with access to affordable dance education, artistic development, mentorship, and a space where young dancers can learn, create, and grow.

Seating is intentionally limited to preserve the intimate Open Marley experience. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged.
