✈️ OPEN COCKPIT IS BACK!Get closer to aviation history at Aviation Heritage Park & Museum during Open Cockpit, Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
For one special day, we're opening the cockpits of our historic aircraft and inviting you to climb the viewing stands, look inside, ask questions and discover what it was like to sit behind the controls.
And Open Cockpit isn't just for kids. Aviation enthusiasts, veterans, history buffs, families and anyone who has ever looked at one of these aircraft and wondered What's it like in there? are invited to come take a closer look.
🚀 Sit in our NASA T-38, the aircraft used to train every man who walked on the Moon.
✈️ Explore our historic aircraft up close, with viewing stands and knowledgeable docents stationed throughout the Park.
🚌 Visit the Butler County Schools STEAM Bus for hands-on science, technology, engineering, art and math activities.
🤖 Try more hands-on activities, including our Redbird Flight Simulators, drones and Sphero.
👨✈️ Talk with our docents, ask questions and hear the stories behind the aircraft and the aviators who flew them.
🍟 Come hungry! Drop It Like It's Tot! will be on site with food available for purchase.
