Whether you are new to birding, enjoy spending time outdoors, love nature photography, or have been birding for years, you will find a warm welcome at the 2026 Ontario Field Ornithologists Convention in Leamington.
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be an OFO member—or even an experienced birder—to enjoy this special weekend. If you love wildlife, photography, hiking, conservation, or simply being outdoors, this convention is for you.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of Point Pelee National Park and Essex County’s renowned birding destinations, this three-day event offers one of the year’s best opportunities to experience the wonder of fall migration.
Enjoy guided birding hikes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with live evening programs on Friday and Saturday that connect participants in Leamington with the convention in North Bay.
Grow - Experience guided birding hikes led by expert local guides who share their knowledge of birds, migration, habitats, and conservation. Whether you are picking up binoculars for the first time or are a seasoned birder, every outing offers new discoveries.

Friday and Saturday evening events at the Roma Club feature vendor exhibits, free parking, wheelchair accessibility, a cash bar, and live connections with participants in North Bay.
