About this Event
On Thursday 26th February 2026 we welcomed Sophie and Clare to Gorhambury to host the 2nd Fireside Talk on one of the most pressing issues of this generation: the impact of smartphones and technology in education on children.
We challenged our speakers to identify the key issues and where possible offer practical solutions, offering advice to parents and school leaders.
Clare Fernyhough is a psychologist, behaviour change expert and a founding partner of the Smartphone Free Childhood (SFC) movement.
Sophie is an advocate and one of the most prominent and articulate voices against the pervasive introduction of Educational Technology (Ed Tech) into primary and secondary school classrooms.
