Chatham County Parks & Recreation is celebrating one year of programs and activities at Greenbriar with a birthday party on Friday, November 6, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., with food, games, and lots of dancing! In the past year, Greenbriar has become a community hub, offering a variety of classes, programs, and a space for residents to connect, and the celebration is all about recognizing those who make it possible and call Greenbriar home, said Stephanie Davis, recreation leader with Chatham County Parks & Recreation.
“We want to show appreciation to our dedicated participants and express how proud we are of what Greenbriar Gym represents to the community and what we've accomplished in just one year, from our well-rounded fitness and cultural arts programs to local field trips throughout Savannah. We're looking forward to 2027 and are excited for what's in store for us,” Davis said.
Since opening in November 2025, Greenbriar has offered programs for youth and seniors, including fitness classes, arts and cultural activities, social gatherings, movies, lunch-and-learns, and healthy living workshops.
The celebration is free and open to the public, and Davis encourages everyone to attend and experience what makes the space special.
“Greenbriar is the best place to try something new, make new friends and find your community,” she said. “We encourage everyone to come out and see what we’re all about!”
