Motherhood can be beautiful!
It can also be completely overwhelming, hilarious, lonely, exhausting, messy and nothing like you imagined.
One Universe, A Million Miracles is an intimate evening of original poetry by Sofie Calvert, exploring the first year of motherhood — the identity shifts, the love, the loss, the loneliness, the body changes....the tiny moments of joy and all the things we carry along the way.
Inspired by her personal experience as a Mum of two, Sofie's poems move through the many sides of becoming a mother — from the raw and difficult moments to the ridiculous, tender and completely ordinary ones!
Whether you're a brand-new mom, years into motherhood or just interested in a night out for yourself - you're welcome here!
There will be poetry, conversation, light refreshments and hopefully many relatable moments!
Giving back
This evening is also about turning words into something bigger.
100% of proceeds from ticket sales will be shared between two local organisations supporting mothers, children and families:

Some poems touch on pregnancy loss, postpartum mental health, rare diseases and relationships - some of the more difficult experiences of motherhood.
Others are funny, tender and very much about the everyday life of becoming a Mother.
