🌮 One Last Taco Tuesday — Where It All Began! 💚Club EMU's Farewell Taco Tuesday — November 10, 2026
Club Everyone, Me and U (Club EMU) is a nonprofit social group for neurodivergent individuals ages 16 through adult, serving the Portland, Oregon metro area.
💚 A Bittersweet Celebration of Friendship & Memories
Some traditions hold a special place in our hearts, and for Club EMU, Taco Tuesday is certainly one of them. 🌮💚
On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, we gathered at Sanchez Taqueria in Tigard for our very first Taco Tuesday. It was one of Club EMU's earliest activities, back when we were just beginning our journey of bringing people together, creating friendships, and building a community where everyone belongs.
Over the years, Taco Tuesday has become so much more than meeting up for tacos. It's been about the conversations, the laughter, the familiar faces, the friendships, and all the wonderful memories made around the table.
And now, almost seven years later, we're coming full circle.
On November 10th, we'll return to Sanchez Taqueria, where it all began, for our final Club EMU Taco Tuesday.
This decision is bittersweet for us. As Club EMU continues to grow and evolve, we're making some thoughtful changes for 2027, including scaling back a few activities to help keep our organization sustainable while making room for new ideas and opportunities.
But don't worry — Club EMU isn't slowing down on friendship or fun! 💚 We still have plenty of exciting activities, adventures, and opportunities to connect ahead of us.
While we're saying goodbye to a cherished tradition, we're certainly not saying goodbye to the friendships it helped create.
We hope you'll join us for one last Taco Tuesday filled with good food, great company, laughter, and memories as we celebrate this special chapter in Club EMU's story.
And what would Taco Tuesday be without our special collectible pins? 🌮💚 From our very first taco and burger pins designed by our logo artist to the newer taco, fries, and other fun pins created by Club EMU participants, these little keepsakes have become a treasured part of our Taco Tuesday tradition.
Of course, we couldn't say goodbye without one final commemorative Taco Tuesday pin! Everyone who joins us will receive a special keepsake to remember this occasion and the wonderful memories we've made together.
Because in the end, it was never just about the tacos. It was always about the people around the table. 💚
