One Day Mosaic | Piecing Together Portraits with Amira Rogers

In this class, students will create mosaic portraits using photos as inspiration. Bring a picture of yourself, a friend, or someone you admire, and learn how to break it down into colorful pieces of glass or tile. You’ll explore how shape and color work together to build expression and character while making a unique portrait to take home. No experience needed—just bring a photo and your creativity!

What to Expect: You will leave the  class with your piece already finished. This class will be split into a step by step session where I will show you demonstrations of how to create mosaics from initial drawings to tools we use to cut and paste the glass itself, but you will spend the majority of the time working on your piece. Clean-up time is included in the duration of class, and usually the last 20 minutes of class are dedicated to cleaning your workstation. Eligibility: No previous experience required. Open to ages 12 and up.

This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
