One-Day Attachment Based ISTDP Therapy Immersion
Join ISTDP-North for a practical, skills-focused one-day immersion training attachment based in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). This in-person training offers a structured introduction and skills deepening for therapists working with anxiety, defences, emotional avoidance, and complex clinical presentations.
This immersive one-day training is designed for therapists, counsellors, psychologists, and mental health professionals who want to develop practical ISTDP skills and deepen their clinical effectiveness.
The day combines teaching, clinical examples, and structured exercises to help participants:
- recognise and respond to anxiety patterns
- identify and work with defences
- build confidence in moment-to-moment clinical decision-making
- strengthen emotional engagement while maintaining safety
- understand how ISTDP principles apply to fragility and complex presentations
This training is suitable as:
- a standalone ISTDP intensive workshop
- preparation for joining ISTDP-North’s Pre-Core and Core Training pathways
