Emergent Constellations
A Day of Client Work with Lucy Ascham
Sunday 22 November | 11.30am–5.30pm
Whirlow Spirituality Centre, Sheffield
Emergent Constellations is a gentle, experiential way of exploring the hidden dynamics of our lives, relationships and family systems. Drawing on systemic and family constellation work, and the work of my mentor neuroscience educator Sarah Peyton, this approach allows us to bring into view the people, places, relationships, parts of ourselves and ancestors that may be influencing us.
Through the constellation process, we can map out these different elements and allow each one its own autonomy to move and respond. By seeing our inner and relational worlds represented in front of us, in a dynamic 3D map, new perspectives can emerge, bringing unexpected insights, a greater sense of clarity and the possibility of healing.
A day of exploration and discovery
This is a day of client work, offering space to explore the issues that matter to you in a supportive group setting. You may bring a particular question, relationship, difficulty or sense of being stuck, or simply a curiosity about what might be ready to emerge.
Through embodied, experiential maps, we will explore the patterns and connections that shape our lives. Sometimes the process reveals something we already sensed but couldn't quite see; at other times, something entirely new comes into awareness.
The work can be meaningful not only when you bring your own constellation, but also when you take part in, or witness, someone else's. Seeing another person's experience unfold can resonate with our own lives, offering fresh perspectives and insights. In this way, the whole group can benefit from the process, with each person taking away something different. This is healing in community in action.
No prior experience is needed, and you do not need to bring your family. Come on your own or with a friend, and bring whatever feels important to explore. You are warmly welcome to participate at your own pace, with no pressure to share more than feels right for you.

A note about emotional wellbeing
This work is offered for personal exploration and is not a replacement for psychotherapy or counselling. Constellation work can bring up strong feelings or difficult memories. This work really includes everyone and everything realted to an issue as representatives. If you feel you may become emotionally destabilised by exploring your own history or hearing about the experiences of others, please consider whether a group setting is right for you. You may wish to discuss this with your therapist or counsellor beforehand, attend with their support, or consider booking a private session with Lucy instead.
You are welcome to get in touch if you have questions about whether this day is suitable for you. [email protected]
