Her books have been translated into over 20 languages and recognized as a Barnes and Noble Book Club Pick, an Amazon Editor's Pick, a Goodreads Book of the Year finalist, a People Magazine Choice, and a Book of the Month Selection.
She is the recipient of The Christy Award “Book of the Year”, The Harper Lee Distinguished Writer of the Year, and the Alabama Library Association Book of the Year for "Becoming Mrs. Lewis."
Patti is co-creator and co-host of the popular "Friends and Fiction" live web show and podcast. She has also contributed to Parade Magazine and numerous anthologies and short story collections.
A former Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, Patti now writes full-time. She lives in Mountain Brook, Alabama, with her husband, Pat, and is the mother of three and grandmother of two.
