“It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it… Life is long if you know how to use it.” – Seneca
In his well-known work On the Shortness of Life, Stoic philosopher Seneca reflects on how we spend our time, and what it means to live it well. Rather than focusing only on efficiency, he points to a more conscious way of living — one that values attention, presence, and the thoughtful use of our days. Perhaps the question is not only how much time we have, but how we relate to it.
Join aspiring philosophers as we read and discuss excerpts from this essay, and explore Philosophy as a path to a more deliberate and meaningful way of living.
