Ever wondered if you could bartend? Now's your chance to find out.
Welcome to On Call, a hands-on bartender bootcamp presented by Eclectic Hospitality and The Eyrie Cocktail Lounge.
For 90 minutes, we're taking you behind the bar and introducing you to the tools, techniques, and fundamentals of bartending.
No experience necessary. No pressure. Just a chance to learn something new, make some great cocktails, and find out what it's like on the other side of the bar.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We'll start with the basics, teaching you how to set up a bar, use the essential tools, properly measure and pour spirits, and understand the techniques behind your favorite cocktails.
Then, it's your turn.
Working in teams of two, you'll put those skills to the test through three interactive rounds of cocktail-making challenges.
You'll learn to:
- Identify and use essential bartending tools and glassware
- Measure spirits and practice free-pouring
- Understand when to shake, stir, muddle, or build a cocktail
- Make classic cocktails using real ingredients and professional techniques
- Work behind a bar station and learn some of the tricks of the trade
And yes, you'll get to enjoy the cocktails you create along the way.
