An optional oyster history walking tour departing from the Harbor House will take place after the presentation, at approximately 4:00 pm.The Olympia oyster is more than a seafood delicacy. It is a living connection to Indigenous heritage, environmental stewardship, and the history of Olympia and Washington State. This presentation reveals how one small shellfish became a symbol of resilience, sustainability, local economy, community identity, and cultural continuity.
