About this Event
This Oliver McGowan Tier 2 training is for colleagues working in health and social care who support autistic people and people with a learning disability. The course provides practical learning, real-life perspectives, and opportunities to reflect on how we can make services more accessible, inclusive and person-centred.
All delegates MUST have completed the e-learning prior to booking and bring their certificate of completion to the training session as evidence otherwise they’ll be sent home and still charged
Delivered by Faraway in partnership with Amber Adult Social Care Group, this open training course welcomes providers and professionals from across North Lincolnshire and the surrounding area.
The programme combines the required e-learning with a face-to-face training session and is co-delivered with people who have lived experience. You'll leave with a better understanding of communication, reasonable adjustments, sensory needs, and the small changes that can make a big difference to people's experiences of care and support.
Whether you work in residential care, supported living, day opportunities, health services or community support, this course will help build the confidence and knowledge needed to provide safe, compassionate, and effective support.
