Old World Echoes TrioFlute, guitar and percussion, Saturday, November 14th at 7pm. Doors at 6:30.
The trio moves between classical, folk and world music. Jeanne Carere is principal flutist with the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra and the Georgia Symphony. John Huston leads the group and writes many of their arrangements for guitar and flute. Paul Hannah trained at New England Conservatory and the Hartt School, and he plays folkloric percussion from Cuba, Brazil, West Africa and Javanese gamelan. The program runs about an hour.
It's a small room, so you'll sit close enough to watch how three players cue each other without a conductor.
Tickets are $15 general admission and $10 for CCAC members. Students and teachers get in free, just register through the link for a free ticket.
