Join us for a FREE lunchtime concert series featuring an original song cycle for string quartet and voice by acclaimed composer, violinist, and Cherokee Nation citizen Anjelica Lindsey. The first string quartet composed by a Cherokee woman, this groundbreaking work explores modern Indigenous womanhood and contemporary lived experience, blending neo-classical composition with Cherokee identity and the beauty and vitality of the Cherokee language.
Soprano Lara Lignitz (Cherokee Nation) will make a special appearance to sing three of the songs in Cherokee. Whether you're a lover of classical music, contemporary composition, or Indigenous arts and culture, you won't want to miss this extraordinary performance.
