Is classical music still relevant? Why go hear a live symphony orchestra when you can just as easily stream music? These questions will be explored and experienced through the Open Hearts Symphony Club. Dr. Elliott Smith will facilitate conversations on each of the Greenville Symphony masterworks concerts. He will introduce the works and give strategies for listening in a lunch and learn style on the Sundays prior to the Saturday evening concerts. Dates will be: Sept 20 (club), 26 (concert); Nov 15 (club), Nov 21 (concert). Light refreshments will be provided. Tickets to concerts must be purchased by participants.
