About this Event
This isn’t a panel, a lecture or a support group. It’s a relaxed, welcoming chance to spend time with people who get the highs, lows and everything in between of life with type 1 diabetes.
We’ll be using the : a playful set of illustrated cards and prompts designed to spark the conversations you didn’t know you wanted to have. There’s no right thing to say and no pressure to share more than you want to - just an opportunity to talk, listen, laugh and connect over the realities of life with T1D.
You can come alone, with your dia-bestie or that special someone who doesn't have diabetes but supports you through it.
Expect a relaxed atmosphere, some surprisingly good conversations, plenty of “me too” moments and, hopefully, a few laughs along the way.
The aim is simple: to remind us all, that even if it doesn't always feel that way, others do really get what life with T1D is like.
Tickets are £6 or bring someone with you for £10 for two.
Your ticket includes a hot or cold drink, with hypo treatments readily available throughout the session. 🍬
If you decide you’d like your own set of T1D Companion Cards, the value of your ticket can be put towards a deck purchased at the event.
This session is for anyone living with type 1 diabetes, as well as partners, parents, family members and others who care for or support someone with T1D.
