POWDER MOUNTAIN
Powder Mountain is known for exactly what its name suggests — powder.
The resort currently boasts approximately 5,000 acres of skiable terrain, 163 named runs and more than 360 inches of annual snowfall. Even better, the terrain is heavily weighted toward advanced skiing:

That means more than half of the mountain is rated advanced, making Powder Mountain a great destination for experienced skiers looking to explore something beyond the typical resort experience.
Fun fact: Powder Mountain is famous for its uncrowded feel and natural-snow experience. The resort describes itself as having limited day-ticket sales specifically to preserve the open, uncrowded atmosphere on the mountain.
SNOWBASIN
Then there's Snowbasin — a completely different experience.
Snowbasin offers 3,000 acres, 115 trails and about 325 inches of annual snowfall, with terrain ranging from beginner cruisers to advanced steeps.
Terrain breakdown:
• 18% Beginner
• 53% Intermediate
• 29% Advanced
So whether you're looking to cruise groomers, explore the mountain with friends or spend the day chasing more challenging terrain, Snowbasin has plenty to keep you busy.
Another fun fact: Snowbasin hosted events during the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, including the men's and women's downhill, combined and super-G events. The mountain still features the famous John Paul area and Olympic downhill courses today.
