THE GUEST SPEAKERS
FUR WALE is a Learning and Development Consultant, a renowned keynote speaker, author, mentor and founder of SHE Talks®, working across education, corporate, government, and community sectors, collaborating with organizations like Vision Australia, Telstra, RMIT and University of Melbourne. Her work advances women and young people into leadership. Fur has an educational background in personal development training, meditation, sports psychology, women’s AFL coaching, human behavior, emotional intelligence, leadership, TV and radio presenting, and theatre stagecraft. She has a Degree in Health Sciences and in Film/Video and Photographic Arts.
DR. JOHN A. MARTINO is an Australian author and academic with a PhD in Classical History and Philosophy. His debut novel, Olympia: The Birth of the Games, has achieved international acclaim, winning First Place in the CIBA Chanticleer International Book Awards. Now in its fifth edition, John is turning his focus toward securing film rights for the story. A former Australian Defence Force veteran, Dr. Martino brings a unique depth of lived experience to his work. Beyond his writing and research, he is deeply committed to community advocacy and the Arts, championing cultural projects that celebrate history, identity, and visual storytelling.
DR. ALEXANDRA THEODOROPOULOU is an accomplished author and poet born and raised in Greece who is travelling from South Australia to join us on the night. Alexandra will be reading excerpts from her recent publication THE FEATHER BRIDLE OF LOVE centering on the romantic relationship between Calypso and Odysseus. Alexandra has published academic works and books on antiquity, philosophy, history and Greek culture. She has a Ph.D. in Political Sciences and History and Masters degrees in Philosophy and Law with distinguished diplomatic roles in her career.
